Cora can read! She's been sounding out small words for a while but she just read the complete text of Dr. Suess's "The Foot Book." We're so excited! She still needs me to sit with her or she gets distracted or discouraged but she's reading. She really needs to go to kindergarten, even though she can't next year because she's not old enough. When she's bored, her favorite activity is to make Lina or Mia cry (in that order). She has also started to "get even" with Mike and me when we discipline her. "Fine, then I won't eat at all!" "Fine, I'll NEVER sleep!" "Fine!" and she throws her plate/cup/toy at the wall. She stomps her foot. She screams with her hands over her ears. She dumps her water on the floor. She empties her toy bins, throwing the dolls and blocks across the room.
I can't wait until she's fifteen.
